Following the Joint Declaration signed at the last EU-India Summit in February 2012, the European Commission DG Research and Innovation, the EU Member States Strategic Forum for International S&T Cooperation (SFIC) and the Indian Department of Science & Technology are co-organizing the Indo-European Research and Innovation Partnership Conference on 31st May and 1st June 2012 in Brussels (Belgium).
SYNCHRONISER project is one of the co-organizers of the ICT Thematic Workshop that will take place on 31st May 2012 between 2.30 and 6.00 pm. SYNCHRONISER Steering Committee experts and project partners will actively participate in the workshop and disseminate the recommendations and action plans proposed by the project experts.

Synchroniser steering committee members met again for the "Third Think Tank Meeting" held in conjunction with Co-creation conference 2011 at Copenhagen on 1st Sept 2011.

SSC members got an opportunity to attend the Co-creation conference 2011, scheduled for two days, which brought together industry and academia to understand the potential of co-creation of Innovation. The first day was dedicated to research presentations and the second day focused on industry and research interaction.

Synchronsier foresight study aimed at identifying Indian future priority topics for ICT research to augment the EU-India political dialogue in the ICT domain, and most importantly, the mission of the EU-India ICT Joint Working Group. The study identified Indian focus areas in the next 2, 5 and 10 years with regard to technology priorities in ICT R&D. Thirty Indian ICT technology experts with an average experience of 20 years in the Indian ICT industry were interviewed using the Delphi method. The foresight study brought out some very interesting and important societal and economic trends that will govern technology priorities for India. The European Commission presented a Green Paper which proposes major changes to EU research and innovation funding to make participation easier, increase scientific and economic impact and provide better value for money. Commission is seeking the views of all interested individuals and organizations on these proposed changes and on the specific questions set out in the Green Paper.

Position Paper provides the summary of the recommendations to the EU-India ICT Policy dialogue discussed and agreed by the SYNCHRONISER Steering Committee (SSC) during the first SSC Think Thank meeting. The main objective of the SYNCHRONISER Steering Committee experts is to feed the EU-India policy dialogue meetings held annually by the Joint Working Group on ICT established under an institutional agreement between the European Union and the Government of India’s Department of Information Technology (DIT).
